What Planet is This? - sundry essays on matters historical and linguistic. Where else could one find information on the following all in one place?

What Planet is, hence, a smorgasbord of linguistics, astronomy, the paranormal, trivia, and other antiquarian nonsense lovingly researched and presented.

The Earth's Anomalous Lightforms - all about various mystery lights such as earth lights, earthquake lights, Will-o'-the-wisps, and St. Elmo's fire. Contains images, theories, anecdotes, and old materials on the subject.

Shakespeare Notes - the two most important resources here at the moment are the Shakespearean Chronology, which is getting quite long, and an essay about an Undiscovered Pun in King Lear.

Software Packages

n3proc - a Notation3 parser suite in Python, including an N3 normaliser and test suite. Generates a program based on the official RDF BNF input for N3. Used in 4Suite and rdflib.

Phenny - a popular, modularly extensible Python IRC bot. She can search Wordnet and Wikipedia amongst dozens of other tasks, and even reloads code on the fly.

Mimulus - an XHTML editor extension for Mozilla Firefox, allowing sourceless editing. See mimulus.js for how it was done.

Pluvo - a nascent experimental scripting language with an easy to use syntax, built in test facilities, and modern datatypes.

Atom Extensibility Framework - an alternative XML serialisation of RDF for the Atom syndication format, written with Ken MacLeod and Sjoerd Visscher.

RSS 1.1 - an elegant and very cleanly specified revision of RSS 1.0 in RDF/XML. Written with Christopher Schmidt.
