This is the exact script that I sent to Danny Bruder for the Radio:24 radio show/podcast, which he used in the Day 11 show. Good stuff!
On Monday sbp released a new hot and steamy pile of love for us in a thing that he calls... the Plexnet Practical Philosophy--or PPP for short. I asked him to cram it down into a two minute radio show for me, and this is what he came up with.
[Sound effects: anything ominous and thumping]
THE SBP BROADCASTING SYSTEM IS ON THE AIR. DO NOT BE AFRAID. I AM MERELY RENTING YOUR EARS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES. RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO THROW YOUR MEDIA PLAYING DEVICE OUT OF THE WINDOW. THE PLEXNET PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY IS IN THE HOUSE.
So, what is the PPP? [Sound effects: music stops abruptly] It pertains to achieve a paradigmatical and essentially methodological feature-based set of memes concentrating on salient... okay, just kidding folks. [Sound effects: beat kicks back in]. The PPP is all about designing LARGE systems. We've looked at the World Wide Web, and we've looked at the Semantic Web, and we've thought about what makes them rock and what makes them suck.
The World Wide Web is really simple. You can explain it to people now just by saying, "hey, it's hypertext on the internet", but back in the old days people didn't understand. Even though it was simple, they just didn't *get* it.
Now we have the Semantic Web. It's only a little bit more complex than the World Wide Web, but it's barely moving at all!
So one thing that we're gonna strive to do is to make the Plexnet SIMPLE. And we're gonna make it usable too. The World Wide Web was made with the people who were going to use it in mind. By creating lots of use cases, we get to THINK about what we want our technology to DO in order to help the lives of the people that are going to use it.
We're also going to concentrate on what happens ON THE WAY to making the Plexnet. Up until now we've been thinking of the Plexnet as some kind of special goal. But we can do a lot of really good things beforehand just by thinking about what we're doing and making sure that we record it!
This is what the idea we call "Plan B" is all about. First we're going to fix the culture; then we're going to fix the archives; and then we're going to make the Plexnet happen. We want to get more people involved with the building process, and give them a place to really chill out and put their ideas so that nothing gets lost. We want to create a really decent online environment where all of our work keeps building up on top of itself until we've made a small mountain of intelligent thought.
That way, no matter what happens to the project in the future, we can be happy with what we've done and look back on something worthwhile.

YOU HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO THE SBP BROADCASTING SYSTEM, COURTESY OF THE VOICE OF BRUDER. DO NOT HAVE BEEN AFRAID. I HAVE MERELY RENTED YOUR EARS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES. IF YOU HAVE THROWN YOUR MEDIA PLAYING DEVICE OUT OF THE WINDOW, GO AND RETRIEVE IT NOW. THE PLEXNET PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY HAS LEFT THE HOUSE.
[Sound effects: some old violin music, or something]
