Installation Note: Pwyky2 requires Python 2.4 or later, and the Apache HTTP server with the mod_rewrite module enabled. Do you have shell access to your server? Use shell installation. Do you have FTP etc. access to your server? Use CGI installation. Unsure about either of the above? Read the help notes. Shell Installation 1. Download ./pwyky2.py onto your server. 2. Run ./pwyky2.py /directory/to/install/to 3. Follow the instructions. CGI Installation 1. Download ./pwyky2.py onto your server. 2. You will probably need to rename it "pwyky2.cgi" 3. Make it executable, i.e. chmod 755 it. 4. Visit http://yourserver.com/path/to/pwyky2.cgi 5. Follow the instructions. Help Notes If you do not know whether or not you have shell access to your server, the chances are that you don't. If you upload your files using a file manager of some kind, then the CGI installation may work for you. Note, however, that you need to have Python 2.4 installed on your server, and for it to be using Apache with mod_rewrite enabled. If you don't know whether you have these, please contact your host's technical support team for help first. If you are still unable to find out, feel free to contact the author.
