X-Yahoo-Group-Post: member; u=166743352 X-Yahoo-Profile: magicalnexus Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi Joe, It isn't just a matter of avoiding a collision, or a percieved collision. Did you read our report on electromagnetic effects on avionics systems reported by pilots during alleged encounters with UAP? As aircraft become more dependent on microprocessors, the acceptable intensity of HIRF decreases for unshielded aircraft. There are a number of papers on my site addressing this issue of electromagnetic interference. For example, how much em energy is needed to ignite vapor in a fuel tank? Or how much is necessary to cause magnetic compass falures, or interfere with radio communications? With respect to nmac, there are many reports of extreme control inputs to avoid a collision with something unidentified and even if the phenomena actually pose no threat as you suggest, that isn't always clear to the air crew. In any case, these UAP that are being studied in Hessdalen and several places in the U.S. have a much longer duration, minutes and longer, than ball-lightning. They can be relatively cohesive and can be quite large. They can pack a large electrical charge and have powerful magnetic properties. They appear in a variety of colors and have different behaviors... undoubtedly these phenomena have been responsible for some UFO reports. Our pilot reports are riddled with descriptions of phenomena that appear to be similar to these. I understand your skepticism but if you don't read the data and understand it, you will not learn anything new. "UAP"s do not pose any threat or danger to aviation any more than aviation does to "UAP"s. The nature of aviation, any type, anywhere, has an element to it that one has to expect the unexpected. There is an incident for which apologies are extended which occurred a few years ago on the runway in Little Rock, Arkansas, U.S.A. which caused the plane to skid off the end of the runway. If you view the newsreel carefully you will note the "UAP" hightailing the scene Joe [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
